Toy Story 3 at last!!

I've been excited about Toy Story 3 ever since I saw the trailers which were playing in cinemas since last year; if my memory does not fail me. So I finally got to watch it!!! It was a last minute plan, but I managed to recruit Shobana and Pui San to watch together with me (Stephanie and Charis, it's alright..I'll cari you when I come back from KL!!!). So we went to JJ (where else) and bought tickets for the 1 p.m. show. There was a multitude of school kids since it was school holidays but we still managed to get good seats, about 6 rows from the back.

Since time was limited, we decided to have lunch in Secret Recipe after crossing out all the other places (fast food outlets were FILLED with kids). Secret Recipe has their Football Fever Special lunch set at RM15:-
Since there were three of us and three choices for the set, we ordered a different one each.

The glasses of Pepsi that come with the sets

My Spaghetti with Meatballs

Pui San's Thai Green Curry Chicken
which I think is the most worth it since the pot of curry was
humongous and very nice too

Shobs' Fish and Chips

We had quite a fine time eating, catching up and exchanging news and opinions (not gossiping okay!!). Then it was time to enter the cinema for our movie:

Toy Story 3
I totally loved it. I was really impressed with the creative storyline and scenes. It has a different element to it than the previous two Toy Story-s so I didn't compare this one to them. With many many more toy characters in the movie in addition to 'Andy's toys' (I love the Peas-In-A-Pod!!!!!Can I have the plushie??!!!) and a lot more different settings, it was action-packed but still retained the innocent feel of a child's movie. Toy Story 3 will show you toys doing things that you would never have thought possible but yet making it quite believable. I laughed, I gripped my seat, I raised my eyebrows and I even teared a little towards the ending. And I left the cinema thinking about MY old toys and feeling quite glad I kept them nicely and never threw or gave them away. Hats off to Disney Pixar!!!

I went home after the movie and had a small dinner and later on my Dad brought us all out to supper in town. Since the original shop where we wanted tong sui was closed, we decided to go to a shop which I have not been to for a few years:-
Their specialty here to me is their water chestnut, white fungus and egg white tong sui:-

Ma Tai Shuit Yi
The water chestnut and white fungus has been slowly boiled to the right softness and the egg whites in the tong sui gives the smooth texture to the liquid. The best part is, it doesn't have the strong egg-y smell that I've smelled in other shops' version of this tong sui. It's really cooling and every spoonful is enjoyable. Mmmm...

We also had Hor Hee which was just average.

We left the shop feeling full and satisfied. When we reached home, my brother found a visitor lurking at the front door. A little baby lizard:-My brother is a pro baby lizard catcher.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us I can never get how he can stand to TOUCH those little clammy creatures...Ewww!!!Anyway, in case you're wondering what happened to that little creature above, it was released into the front garden. So no harm done.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
