I'm White, He's Black

So I finally got my new phone. I took some time deciding on which model to get because the price factor and function factor was very important to me. After some research online and survey-ing around the IT center in Sunway Pyramid, I finally narrowed it down the the Sony Ericsson J105 Naite. Reason was because it was basically like my old SE W705; but without the WiFi, lower pixel camera and no Walkman function.

And guess what, Ben went ahead and got the same phone as mine. Basically, what happened was; his phone died about a few weeks before mine did and he was supposed to choose a new phone. But since mine also died, he conveniently sat back and let me do all the research; and just buy the phone I chose. Smart one. I should have charged consultancy fees.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Haha!!So here are our Yin-Yang SE J105-s:-

White mine, black his
Mine looks better riiiiiiiiiiight????

At first, there was no memory card included with the phones. Once I discovered that I had a mini freak out and went back to the Sony Ericsson shop to demand for our 2GB SD memory cards. We had a right to them because the website we checked said a 2GB memory card was included in the box. So now the memory cards are nicely slotted in our phones. No worries.

Uncle brought us all to dinner at this fun cafe called Pitstop where their unique factor is the availability of many board games which I have never come across before. I guess it kind of distracts you from how long you have to wait for your food (it was a full house when we arrived there) but nevertheless, it was very fun to play board games again. I don't remember the last time I had so much fun with board games!!Image Hosted by ImageShack.us The food there was quite good too.

A Day Out With Freed Guys

It was the day Ben and his APIIT course-mates completed the last exam of their course. So, it meant that they have officially completed their diploma course. To mark this milestone, they decided to celebrate by hanging out for the rest of the day. I was included in their plans, so I joined them since I had no class that day. Ben came to pick me up and we met up with the rest of them in Tony Roma's for lunch. Haha!! I have spread the Tony Roma's fever.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
We all had Tony Roma's lunch sets. We had pretty much the same things as the last time I went there (click here to read). I think I'm going to witness everything in the lunch set list being ordered if I spread the fever more.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us The additions to the ticked list were Adrian and Ben's orders:-

Adrian's Oops-I-forgot-what's-the-name Burger
Ben's Caesar Chicken Salad

Adrian, I took pictures from your blog because they're so nice
plus I didn't take any people pictures that day. Thanks!!

Me among their midst

After lunch, we went to watch Love In Disguise. It's a Chinese show where Wang Lee Hom plays the main character. I know, I know; it's not really my type of movie but we just went along with it because Zheng Si's friends said it was nice:-And surprisingly, it was quite nice. Love in Disguise a typical love story where a guy goes to extreme lengths, doing things they normally won't do to capture the heart of a girl he loves. I do feel that it is another platform for Wang Lee Hom to showcase his talent and wow his fans; but I still liked it because it didn't overly focus on him alone. Yes, it did let him display his musical talent but aside from that, they also let the audience appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese music and it's unique instruments. I've always been fascination with the gu qin, and this movie made me MORE fascinated than ever. One day, ONE DAY I will learn it!!!Image Hosted by ImageShack.us It had some funny, silly moments where Lee Hom showed us the comedian side of him. And it even got pretty touching towards the end. In conclusion, go watch Love in Disguise if you're looking for a feel good movie.

After the movie, we went to Snowflakes and we all got to meet Adrian's friend, Hui Yi. Adrian belanja-ed us. Thanks Adrian!! Unfortunately the quality of the desserts that day was at a thumbs down because they had some supply problem. =/ After out cold desserts, we went to Club 9 for two rounds of pool and later on to an early dinner before we all said goodbye.

Thanks you guys, and Hui Yi; for a great day!!!

Random With My Konco-s

I've loads to update about but I've been to busy and lazy to sit down and open Blogger .Some random random stuff I've been up to with Abel and Vemal. Yes, I'm labeling you two as my konco-s since you're always calling me the gang leader. =.=

Our totally random trip to Snowflake after dinner where we spent quite some time walking to the bus stop and sitting there, chatting and laughing while waiting for the non-appearing bus. Had to share to take a taxi back. Lucky we got a taxi which was using a meter and ended up paying about RM1++ each. Not bad.

Their Best Seller (cold)

I wanted to update my iPod software; so since the hostel line is so weird and won't allow me to access the iTunes Store, I moved my laptop to Starbucks along with my P7 notes and Abel for company while updating it. At first when I was updating, the bar showed 2 hours and 57 minutes. So I did some stuff for a little while, but when I checked again, it said 'Failed'. I retried and the second time, the bar showed 4 hours and 52 minutes!!! My eyebrows went up. But I decided to let it run and study with Abel.

In the end, the stupid software didn't manage to update itself. WTH. But at least it wasn't so unproductive because I managed to go through my notes plus update some apps in my iPod. Now I kinda get why some people can spend all day in Starbucks. It is possible to study there but it would be best to go with a friend unless you have a super strong bladder and can hold your wee in for hours. Abel got some random pick-me-ups throughout the time we were there. Haha!! That's another plus; because when you're in a mall, the surroundings are interesting.

Abel's Honey Mustard Fries from Ireland Potatoes

This will have to do while I sort out the rest.
Stay with me!!

I LOVE my iPod Touch!!!

As I mentioned, I GOT MY iPOD TOUCH!!!!WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! I love the high feeling of getting a new gadget. Plus I had been toying with the idea of getting one since the functions really suit me. So I finally got my iPod Touch!!! Let me tell you the very interesting series of events that are related to my new PodPod.

Ben came to pick me up and we went to his place where we made garlic bread (again)with baguette this time. The garlic bread turned out quite alright only he kept obsessing about 'the garlic didn't turn brown'.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us We had leftover bread and we experimented with random stuff like cheese and mayo. It was kinda hilarious when we left the bread too long and it burnt. Fun though!!!

Garlic Bread
After eating and clearing up, we all headed to The Gardens for a light lunch since nobody was very hungry after our garlic bread. Oops. We had lunch in Italiannise instead of Sushi Zanmai due to the crazy queue there and because Ben's mum had to rush for a conference. While waiting for the food, I told Aunty I wanted to get an iPod and she went with Ben and me to Machines. And after 15minutes in there, I was the proud owner of this beautiful baby!!

iPod Touch 8GB

Since we were in The Gardens, Ben suggested that I apply to The Gardens Club since my iPod purchase brought up then total expenditure for the day very near to RM1000. After adding the lunch bill to my iPod bill, we had about RM55 more to hit the RM1k mark; so Aunty decided to get a book in Borders to total up the sum. So behold the RM1k bills which made me eligible for The Gardens Club membership:-

I got a nice big bag (useful for my class files) and an envelope of Gardens
vouchers along with my Gardens Club Card. Thank you to all who made this possible. Hehe!!!Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

After that, I walked around MidValley with Ben, Jessica and Andrew since the rest had to leave first. We walked around randomly and had some snacks (coffee and Paddington's) before heading back. Since I wanted to set up my iPod, Ben drove me back to Sunway to get my laptop. Jessica also came along and we had Bubble Tea on the way back.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Once back, I set up my laptop and Ben helped me set up most of the stuff. Thank you, dear.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us We had quite a fun time installing apps and testing them out on my new PodPod. There was a point we made everyone stare when we tested out one particular 2-player motion game, iSamurai and we were swinging our iPods at each other and giggling. Hehe!

Dinner was at 1-Stop Cafe. It's located somewhere near Jalan Ipoh?? (I'm not familiar with KL) The concept is similiar to Old Town and those franchise coffee shops. The food was quite alright.

Iced Yin Yong
The coffee was stronger than the tea taste. But otherwise it was alright.

My Nasi Lemak with Mutton and Chicken
It was good!! The portion was generous and the curry was tasty!!

After dinner, we went back and fiddled around more with the iPod before it was time for Ben to send me back. I was quite tired but very happy. It was a great day!!

Happy Meal(s) for Yoong and I!!

An announcement for those whom I didn't rant to: My idiot phone DIED on me for NO REASON. Stupid SE W705!! After an initial investment of RM900 and 1 year and 1month of good treatment (I changed clothes for it 3 times and never scratched it), I would have thought it would last me a few more years. But nooooo, it just shut off suddenly and couldn't be turned on again. The guys at the phone shops told me its not worth trying to repair it. Now I know what it is like to see 'sudden death'.Image Hosted by ImageShack.usMy heart still hurts to think about it. I am NEVER trusting phones which cost above RM600++ anymore. So I have decided to get a mid-range phone and an iTouch instead of an expensive phone. Thank you, Papa. I've got my iPod Touch already, will show you my new baby next time but for now; this post is to update on my coussie bonding time with Yoong.

---------------------------------

When was the last time you had a Happy Meal?? YES, Happy Meal as in Happy Meal from McDonald's.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us I ordered it while out with Yoong because I missed the McValue Lunch by 10 minutes; and since I was starving, I decided to get a Happy Meal since I was already there. I was hoping to get the Sugar Bunny as the toy but I got something else instead. See:-

Meet Horsey!!
Yoong and I were fiddling with it while chatting and I suddenly figured out how to play with it. So it got kind of addictive. What a sight we both were, two girls hunched over that little pink toy and rocking it back and forth.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us We walked around Sunway Pyramid checking out phone prices and then settled in Secret Recipe for tea.

My Spicy Chicken Cornish

Yoong ordered from the tea time special menu
which consisted of
Strawberry Marshmallow Cheesecake

Coffee

Then we took out Horsey again and played with it more. Haha!! And we even posed with it and took pictures for fun. Won't show you the more demented ones. Just some normal looking ones (sort of):

Yoong

Me

I gave Yoong the horse to give to Rachel (our 6 year old cousin) but she decided to keep it for time being because she liked it so much.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Well, who would have thought such a random little thing added so much fun to our outing. Brings out the kid in us I guess. Anyway, I really had fun. Yoong, we must do this more often!!!!

My Water Moments with TX5

About time I updated on going for the 'My Water Moments with TX5'. Hehe..I got the invite from both Sony and Nuffnang and last minute decided to drag Vemal along. It was held in Sunway Lagoon and the main reason I went was because there were games and a chance to win a camera!! Well, I didn't bring home a new camera that day (never mind, I still love you my orange Canon!!) but I had fun, got sunburnt, and best of all; made new friends!!!

I locked all my stuff into the locker so I had no camera with me. All the pictures are courtesy of Riki, one of my group members for the day; who also happens to be an awesome photographer!! So here are the photos!!

My Team : C3
Me, Riki, Vemal, Ee Soon and Hooi Fern

We weren't the best team, but it was really nice to get to know each other and planning our game strategies together. Haha!! I still feel we were treated quite unfairly by certain station masters (not the same rules applied to all teams, they changed as they liked) but I don't give a damn about that anymore. I went to have fun and meet new people, and I did just that. So I'm happy. Alright, more pictures!!!

This is Riki and Hooi Fern

The hosts for the day

Riki was so kind to entertain our requests to take our pictures and patiently waited for us to pose pose around. Thanks Riki!!
Hooi Fern, Pui San and MEWe were actually standing under this 'bucket water fall thing' and were waiting for it to fall so we could get a picture of it. Riki took several shots of us:

I noticed I'm the only one with expression change in all the pictures. =.=

Vemal, Me and Pui San!!

One last picture before I end this post. A picture taken and printed out for free when we posed at the underwater station. Prepare to laugh your head off at me:-

That's all for now.
