I have a question.
Do you approve ANY and EVERY friend request
that pops up in your Facebook request??
I used to have like over 100 friend requests before I privatised my profile. I got very tired of them sitting in my requests page so one fine day, I screened through all of them carefully, approving those I knew (which were less than 10 people) and ignored all the rest. And ever since then,I privatised my profile and clean up my requests page everyday. I also set a message under my page :-
And I guess that did the trick. I still get random requests (meaning those who add me for the sake of adding) but lesser and I ignore them. I set my inbox as "Anyone can send me messages" though, so I get messages like these from random add-ers:-
*Cough*. Okay...you must be wondering about my title.Well, I received a friend request from this person, J. I ignored it because, well, I don't know him. To my surprised though, each time I ignored (I clear it everyday) he added me back. This happened a few times, and I still did not approve. And I think I bruised his ego a little because he sent me this in morning saying I am 'stuck up'.

After I saw his reply, I went to see his profile and saw his latest status update :-
HONESTLY, what the HELL was he expecting after sending me that message?? Accusing me of being 'stuck up' just because I didn't approve his friend request. And what kind of person spends his time re-adding people who ignored his friend request?? If it happened to you, would you even WANT to add him??Okay, don't get me wrong, I do add people I have never seen before in FB (e.g: Nuffnang bloggers) but those are people whom I had actually at least interacted with or are good friends of my friends. And why would you want loads of strangers in your friend list, bearing in mind personal info is there and your activities are published there??
Hmm...if I were a 'friendlier' person I would have given a response like this?? :-
But that's not me. Sorry. I am not the nicest person around and I don't pretend to be. So, run for your lives!!! Haha!!! Seriously though, I consider myself a people person and I do like meeting and getting to know new people. 
I go with one important rule though : RESPECT. If you don't treat me respectfully, don't expect me to be all sugar, spice and everything nice. Fair enough right??

Wow. Can I add you in FB? Lols. I would approve friend request from people that have more than 10 mutual friends. But lately, I deleted people in my friend list, especially those I think they're stalkers. =] But seriously, you're doing the right thing.
