JPJ!!!Why like this???!!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us I am not happy.

You see, when I went back to Ipoh two weeks ago, my dad handed me this letter which came for me in the post:-

'Urusan Kerajaan'
Official letter...

No, I am not being arrested for dangerous driving or received a 'saman' (summons) or anything. I did not do anything against the law. So rein in that galloping imagination.

The letter was asking me to renew my driving license. I passed my driving license 2 years ago and have been on a 'P' (Probation) License since then. And it expired this month. So the letter had instructions:-

It says I can renew my license at either a JPJ office or a Post Malaysia Bhd branch. Since I was only back in Ipoh for a few days, I decided to get it renewed when I go back to Subang. However, due to being super busy and no right timing, I only stepped foot into a post office today. My dad drove me to the main Pos Malaysia Office in Klang to renew my license. Since we didn't know where the JPJ Office in Klang is. And the letter said I could do it in a post office anyway. ( Look at the red circle in the letter above)

The post office was full when I went there despite it being a weekday morning. No choice but to wait because there's no telling when I'll have the time to do this. So I took a number and sat down and while away the time until the 20 over people with numbers ahead of me gets served.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

After waiting for almost 45 minutes, it was my turn. I happily went to the counter and told the Malay girl behind it that I wanted to renew license.

Me : Saya nak renew lesen. Sini boleh kan??(I would like to renew my license. It can be done here, right??)
Girl : Ya, kat sini. (Yes, it is here.)
Me : Berapa untuk renew?? (How much is it to renew??)
Girl : You nak berapa tahun?? (How many years do you want to renew it for??)
Me : Lesen saya P, saya nak renew jadi full license. Macam mana?? (Mine is a P license. I want to renew it to a full license. How do I do this??)
Girl : Oh, kalau macam tu, tak boleh lah. Kena pergi JPJ sana. ( Oh, you can't do this here. You have to go to the JPJ )
Me : Huh?? Tapi saya dapat surat kata sini boleh?! Ini Pejabat Pos Malaysia Bhd kan?? (But I got a letter saying I can do it here??!This IS Pejabat Pos Malaysia Bhd?? )

At that point, I took out the letter which I had brought with me and showed it to her. The girl looked quite confounded when she looked through the letter. Apologetically, she handed it back to me and said that they are only responsible for renewing a full license but not to upgrade my license.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us What the...??Then why did JPJ print in the letter that it could be done in Pejabat Pos Malaysia Bhd?? It just caused me to trouble my dad to send me to a post office, wasted my time while waiting for my turn and just when I thought I don't have to worry about the license renewal, it just turned out this way. Now I have to put it back into my list of 'things-not-done' which I'm sure you will agree with me is quite a bother.

I wonder how many people has gone through the experience similar to mine.
A result of some misleading info printed in an official letter.
*sigh*

So to save those of you who has to upgrade your P license; just go straight to the JPJ Office. Don't get your time wasted like me.

While waiting for Louisa to call me the other day, I played around with the snapshot mode.
After like 20 tries I FINALLY got a decent one. Sort of:-

That was a two days ago.
Now let me show you my Ju-On impersonation (please don't scream):-

Rambling when it rains

What is it about the rain today??
Its making me feel like wanting to lie in bed, with my thoughts for company.

Just my thoughts...

This miserable, indecisive weather that shines one moment then turns stormy next.
How can you enjoy the sunshine when you know there are storm clouds gathering??

You can ignore the first raindrop that drips on your shoulder,
But how could you stay oblivious with the downpour that comes eventually??
Perhaps dancing in the rain strikes you as fanciful,
But what about the cold that comes from it??

I'm no fool.
And I refuse to make myself a fool by standing in the rain
when there is shelter to escape to.
I believe that the sun will shine again.
But it does not mean I will get drenched waiting for it.

Its tiring to keep up a facade.
And biting of more than you can chew is inadvisable.
So please, stop it.

I'm getting out of the rain.
Are you??

Sha La La La in RedBox Sunway Pyramid

Remember I mentioned once in my previous post (bout a month back) that I went karaoke-ing with my housemates during my first week in Subang?? . . . . ????
Okay...perhaps you don't remember. Some will probably remember me mentioning it quite often. Why so often?? Because its freaking 'DAI'!!!! ('dai' means worth it in Cantonese)Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Red Box in Sunway Pyramid. That's the plcae to go for karaoke. With student price,a 3 hour session,if you go before 6pm is RM8++ (per person) AND you add an extra RM10 (per person) you get a buffet dinner thrown in. YES...BUFFET. But take note of the RM++..you have to have two bowls of snacks and so on. So after all the add-ons, the bill adds up to about RM30 per person.

You might be skeptically raising your eyebrow at me but I'm not kidding. Go check it out yourself. Inquire at the counter or check their website. Anyway, I went with Philemon and Sze Haw the other day. Just the three of us because others who we asked could not find time to come. So we were walking there...and Sze Haw got busy with her camera:-
Walking along nicely when we saw
THIS
Eww...roadkill. Yuk.

It was still early (not even 1pm when we reached) and since the snotty looking girl behind the counter snapped at us,"3 o'clock only got room ah.", we just killed time walking around. Not hard to do. First we went to Shu Uemura. Haha..yea,Shu Uemura. You see, Sze Haw and I were eye-ing this:-

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil
There was this promotion so Sze Haw and I shared to buy a big bottle. It was so worth it though it costed a bomb. We were already obsessing over it a few days before deciding to buy it, Miss Sze Haw especially. Exclaiming,"SHU UEMURA!" everytime she saw me. Weeee!!!!!We bought it. Anyway,I was like drooling over the array of make-up brushes there on display:-

I'm kind of obssessing over make-up brushes these days, particularly kabuki brushes...Okay okay..I'll save it for another day. The brushes were like at least RM160 EACH so just for drooling...not for buying. *sigh* Anyway, the nice sales girl there suddenly gave me an eye make-up demo. For free..it was really nice of her because make-up sessions there cost like RM70++. Sze Haw's camera at work:-

SHU UEMURA!!!!
Still more time to kill, and we were hungry. So Sze Haw brought us to the Korean Lunchbox place in Asian Avenue:-
Yum Yum....

You can see Sze Haw's happiness with it:-
Philemon the POSER...
Anyway when we FINALLY got a room in RedBox (thank goodness they gave us a huge-ass room, or I wold have gave the annoying counter girl a piece of my mind about her lousy attitude) It was 4:30pm when we got in. We had until 6pm when the buffet started. So we sang.....
and sang....

And sang....
even jumped on the sofa...Sing
.
.
.
.
.
Scream
.
.
.
.
Rap
.
.
.
.
Nearly lost our voices...
What a blessing for the drinks...
Aloe Vera Special

And when the time came for buffet, we were busy scarfing down the food. It's not the cheapo buffet type okay...They had scrumptious sushi:-

That picture up there is only ONE of the plates we took. We ate waaaayyyy more than that. Just too busy eating to take pictures. And after eating, more singing, because we brought the food into the room from the buffet too. We were supposed to leave at 7:30pm but since nobody came to shoo us out, we stayed until 9pm when we HAD to leave because they blobked the karaoke machine. So we left, hoarse and freaking full. And we only chalked up a bill of RM83.40. Do your maths how much it cost the three of us each.

Fuhh...
WHAT a day....

:)
