This is for those I love...

NEVER ALONE
Lady Antebellum (feat. Jim Brickman)

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when its time to go home
May you always have plenty
The glass never empty
Know in your belly
You're never alone

May your tears come from laughing
You find friends worth having
As every year passes
They mean more than gold
May you win and stay humble
Smile more than grumble
And know when you stumble
You're never alone

Chorus:

Never alone

Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

I have to be honest
As much as I wanted
I'm not gonna promise that cold winds won't blow
So when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Chorus

My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

So when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone...

It's hard to say "Goodbye"...

Okay,I have been looking through my posts for the past month and I can't believe I've missed out something important which I meant to tell. So here goes:-
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us I'm going to be transferring to Sunway PJ.

Yeah,no joke. I have already been registered for classes and accommodation there. I will be moving into my apartment on the 2nd of January and my classes will commence on the 5th. I have not even set foot nor even seen Sunway PJ since all the necessary procedures were done by my Dad, so I am pretty much moving into the unknown.

How does one tell the people around her that she is going away?? Though it was easy to tell my friends already in KL that I was going to be transferred (their welcoming responses really warmed my heart); I had no idea how to tell the friends dear to me in Ipoh. It felt wrong somehow. I can't chirp,"Oh,by the way, I'm going to KL. Bye!!" I kept my silence until after the exams.

I apologize for keeping you in the dark. It was not that I did not want to tell, I did not know HOW to tell.

I have been spending the past few days packing my stuff. Its quite a nightmare trying o fit all my stuff into minimum luggage though I certainly DON'T have that many things. Whoever would have thought clothes hangers take up so much space.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us I even got emotional while packing. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to go to KL, but so sad to leave everything familiar to me in Ipoh.

Anyway, I think I'll stop emo-ing and tell about the Farewell Lunch in Aberdeen Cafe Yin Yep organized for me to spend time with my friends before I left. He told me to dress up a bit for the photos so how did you think I do???
I had to give Yin Yep a ride since his car was being serviced or something, so we met in JJ and headed to Aberdeen 10 minutes to 1. Noone had arrived yet when we entered so we ordered drinks to pass the time while waiting for the fashionably late. Since the cam is always with me these days, I snapped around...

My Blueberry Mocha Shake...
I have no idea why they served it in a cheap plastic cup instead of a nice tall glass like Yin Yep's Mocha Ice:-Moreover, mine was more expensive!! Unfairness...Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Anyway,we waited..and waited. . . . . And waited....and Abel arrived with Christina around 1:25 p.m. and waited too:-
I had finished my drink by the time everyone arrived (except Jian Yao who had a slight accident and didn't come in the end, poor guy.) and ordered another drink with my set lunch:-

Honeydew is refreshing...

Happy Birthday Jesus...

So soon....it is Christmas and nearing the close of the year.

Remembering the day more than 2000 years ago, when the Lord Jesus was born to give us all Salvation. I attended the Christmas Eve Service in church last night. It was a candlelight service where everyone was given a candle to light at the closing.

There was a presentation by the Children Church Choir which was put together painstakingly by Auntie Jane and others. Kudos to them, they delivered an awesome performance. And also those who performed a sketch along with the Children Choir.

What I've been up to...

Just thought I would fill in some stuff which I've been up to since I took pictures.

1. CY4 Reunion Outing

On the morning after Camp, dim sum breakfast in Foh San. After eating, everyone went back to my house to talk. It was nice to catch up and confide in the people whom I hold so dearly in my heart. Here's a funny picture I took:-Because it had been such a long time since we spent time together, breakfast was not enough and we went out for a all-you-can-eat steamboat cum hotplate at 2+1. It was raining horrifically when we set out for the place. Perfect weather for steamboat but terrible for driving. I nearly died while driving to Qi Vin's house for the carpool there. Thank goodness I did not have to drive all the way to the restaurant. Everyone was soaked when we reached there. But the food made up for the discomfort. See pictures:-

Sizzle sizzle...

Hapiness...

The durian ice-cream I took for Abel who requested,"One bowl. Full bowl okay!!!!"
And when I outdid myself,he was complaining....And they say girls are hard to please........sheesh... =.=

BEFORE
AFTER

2. I got my Esprit Cap!!!!

THANK YOU NAS, CHRISTINA AND ABEL for enabling me to stick my head into this baby!!!!

How do I look???

And thank you Yin Yep and Sze Haw for helping me choose this. Haha!!!!! (I'm obsessed with this cap )

3. Dong Zhi

I like this festival because it allows me to enjoy some quality time with my family. We will sit together to make Tong Yun. If you want to know how to make it click here. Here's this year's product. Sweet stuff... XD

YUMMY....

Okay....that's all for now.
Now I'm going to sleep and dream of Christmas!!!
It's Christmas Eve tomorrow!!!

The Laziest Angel...MINE!!!

A little spin off from Youth Camp 2008.

While in the bus,on the way there, every camper was given a slip of paper another camper's name in it. This was the 'Angel,Mortal' game which we were supposed to play during the duration of the camp. Each person plays 'Angel' to the assigned person (the Mortal) and each person has an Angel and Mortal. Get it?? Meaning we take care of a person and get taken care of by another different person. And we were not supposed to let our Mortal know who we are. (Okay,I'll stop the detailed descriptions and get on with it)

Anyway,my Mortal was Reuben. Well,I was sneakily passing sweets and stuff to him through other people and even went up to him with a cup of Milo and said,"From your Angel." Everyone was doing that. Well, everyone;it seems...except MY Angel.

Oh yea..nobody came up to me with stuff and went,"From your angel." I felt kind of left out seeing others getting goodies and funny notes from their Angels. Look at this funny one Sze Haw got from her's :-

Sweet..

Actually, for the first two days;I was not the only one who was feeling Angel-less. Eugene made this sign and sat at an empty table with it:-
But came the last night...and still nil from my Angel.

Annoyed. . . . .

I stood up and voted my Angel as the Laziest Angel during the last session when they called for it. I was dying to know who my Angel was....So my Angel was asked to reveal himself.

And my Angel was.....

Philemon Lim

Okay.....
This post is NOT to diss him!!!!!Carry on reading please!!!

On the first day of Camp itself. Philemon suddenly approached me and started making conversation. Well,I did find it a little strange because I have never talked to him before. I thought he was there because he knew Xian, who was with me.

Well,he was really nice to us (me, SzeHaw, Chrys, Michelle and Jo)..He was the only guy who stuck around when we suddenly had the urge to jump up and down to get an airborne picture;and offered to stand behind the lens while we were making a scene by jumping, screaming and laughing. (We actually made people stare at us...malu...)

Basically,he was being an Angel in a different way from others'. Not with gifts but by spending time, getting to know and lending a hand when he could. I guess that is the way an Angel should be right?? Compared to me,just giving gifts to my Mortal but barely spending personal time building relationships??? It gave me something to reflect on about materialism....

In my defense though; I did not know he was my Angel and I did not even get a sign that my Angel existed...that is why I voted my Angel as the laziest. But after the relevation, and looking back at his effort...I want to take it back and say:

Philemon, you deserve MY Best Angel Award!!!!!!!! So here's to you!!!!!

A modified quote adapted from Louisa M.Alcott's book :

"Well,Camp has come and gone,I have received no gifts nor earned no glory, but I have made a friend worth having."
